HOW TO GAIN INFORMATION ON EACH NORTH CAROLINA PRISONER
- Visit the North Carolina Department of Corrections NCDOC website. The North Carolina Dept of Corrections allows users to view and download any/all public information from the Department of Correction database for convicted offenders supervised by the North Carolina Department of Corrections (NC State Prison Inmates). The database also includes information on inmate releases and escapees. You may search by name or ID number to find information on inmates, probationers or parolees since 1972.
- To locate a North Carolina inmate within the NC county jails and/or city Jail (NC County Jail Inmates, who are NOT under the supervison of the North Carolina Dept of Correction), please visit our directory of North Carolina counties with online access to their inmate records on this website. However, at this time, not every county do offer access to their inmate records.
- If you can’t locate a North Carolina inmate this way, it may be necessary to get in touch with the appropriate sheriff’s office or even county correctional facility to receive the information in person, by mail, or by phone.
